Bexio Connector documentation

Short, practical guidance for setup, defaults, and the first live sync.

Use this page for the normal setup path. Advanced settings stay optional until the core flow is stable.

1. Activate the license

Open the plugin in WooCommerce and activate the license first.

  • The plugin stays locked until the license is active.
  • One live store is linked to one active license.

2. Connect Bexio

Click Connect Bexio and finish the browser login.

  • Hosted broker is the default path.
  • When the login closes successfully, the store returns connected.

3. Set the core defaults

Review the few values the connector cannot safely guess.

  • Owner
  • Bank account
  • Revenue account
  • Fallback sales tax

4. Map WooCommerce taxes

Use Tax mapping when Bexio cannot derive the tax from the order automatically.

  • Map each WooCommerce tax class to a Bexio sales tax.
  • Shipping has its own row.
  • Use the fallback tax only as the last safety net.

5. Go live

Enable invoice creation and automatic sync when the defaults are correct.

  • Start with invoices only.
  • Run one test order before opening advanced settings.

Common blockers

Most sync failures come from missing tax mapping or invalid Bexio accounts.

  • Missing tax ID on positions
  • Revenue account does not exist anymore
  • Order or invoice payload contains unsupported fields
